John From Cincinnati is an American television drama, set against the surfing community of Imperial Beach, California. It is set to be broadcast on HBO. It is the result of a collaborative effort between writers David Milch and Kem Nunn, whose novels have been termed surf noir. [1] The series began filming in October 2006, with a scheduled premiere on June 10, 2007.

The series will star Bruce Greenwood, Austin Nichols, Rebecca De Mornay, Luke Perry, Brian Van Holt, Dayton Callie, Jim Beaver, Garret Dillahunt, Willie Garson, Luis GuzmĂĄn, Emily Rose, and Ed O'Neill among others.[2] Milch is an established name in television production; he created Deadwood and co-created NYPD Blue.[3]

The series includes surfing sequences by well respected surfers Brock Little, Keala Kennelly, Dan Malloy (surfer), John-John Florence, Shane Beschen, and Herbie Fletcher.[4]

The program deals with a strange young man of mysterious origin and the effect he has on a community and in particular a dysfunctional family of professional surfers.

HBO is currently running a subtle street promotion campaign using standard issue lost pet and for sale signs posted on phone poles in parts of Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City to promote awareness of the name of the show and its main character John Monad.

Opis:

The Thick of It is a British comedy television series, which satirises the inner workings of modern British government. It was first broadcast on BBC Four in 2005, and has so far completed fourteen half-hour episodes and two special hour-long episodes to coincide with Christmas and Gordon Brown's appointment as Prime Minister. To date, the series has earned Best New Comedy and Best Comedy Performer for Chris Langham at the 2005 British Comedy Awards, and won Best Situation Comedy and Best Comedy Performance, also for Langham (although Peter Capaldi was also nominated), at the 2006 BAFTAs

As best I can remember, I joined in late 2001 or early 2002 with the editor name spacer. My initial category was Arts/Magazines_and_E-Zines/E-zines/Science_Fiction (which appears to have been reorganized and no longer in existence under that name). After that I had Arts/Television/Programs/Science_Fiction, which eventually became Arts/Television/Programs/Science_Fiction_and Fantasy. After a while I moved up to Arts/Television/Programs and later still Arts/Television. I got pretty burned out on the TV cats and went over to Arts/Entertainment and Society/History/By_Time_Period/Twentieth_Century/Wars_and_Conflicts/World_War_II. I'm going to guess I timed out/left sometime in 2006 because of work commitments.

Honestly, I don't know how many edits I ended up with, but I was an editall, and it was a lot. The original e-mail address was , which is no longer active.

That enough? I was trying to apply for Recreation/Pets/Parrots - if you can help me out, I'd appreciate it. I have a parrot of my own now and am hoping to do volunteer work with a local parrot rescue when I retire in a couple more years, which is the reason for the sudden change of topic.

His death was announced by his manager, Terri Robson. The cause was pancreatic cancer. In July 2006 he underwent surgery for the cancer in New York and had made no public appearances since then. He was hospitalized again this summer and released on Aug. 25.

“The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life,” said an e-mail statement that his manager sent to The Associated Press. “In fitting with the approach that characterized his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness.”

Like Enrico Caruso and Jenny Lind before him, Mr. Pavarotti extended his presence far beyond the limits of Italian opera. He became a titan of pop culture. Millions saw him on television and found in his expansive personality, childlike charm and generous figure a link to an art form with which many had only a glancing familiarity.

Early in his career and into the 1970s he devoted himself with single-mindedness to his serious opera and recital career, quickly establishing his rich sound as the great male operatic voice of his generation — the “King of the High Cs,” as his popular nickname had it.

He will be truly missed not only in the world of opera but in the world of music.

Kenijski minister spraw wewnetrznych John Michuki przyznał dzis, ¿e rzad stoi za atakiem na obiekty nale¿ace do pozostajacego w rekach prywatnych koncernu medialnego ,,Standard Group''. Dzis po północy czasu miejscowego zamaskowani i uzbrojeni policjanci wtargneli i zdemolowali siedziby stacji telewizyjnej ,,Kenya Television Network'' oraz dziennika ,,The Standard'' - znanych z krytycznego stosunku to władz. Minister uzasadniał akcje wzgledami bezpieczenstwa narodowego.
Po północy czasu miejscowego zamaskowani i uzbrojeni w karabiny maszynowe AK 47sprawcy wtargneli do siedziby stacji telewizyjnej ,,Kenya Television Network'' oraz siedziby i drukarni dziennika ,,The Standard''. Pracownicy zostali sterroryzowani bronia, byli bici, przeszukiwani, zmuszono ich do le¿enia twarza do ziemi.
Policja zdemolowała pomieszczenia zajetych obiektów i skonfiskowała czesc sprzetu. Z siedziby telewizji KTN policjanci zabrali komputery i twarde dyski. Na dwie godziny zatrzymano te¿ czterech pracowników stacji. Z drukarni wyniesiono i spalono na podwórzu cały dzisiejszy nakład dziennika ,,The Standard''.

Telewizja KTN wznowiła nadawanie dopiero po 13 godzinach.

Noel Dempsey, the Minister for Communications, has launched the procurement process for the Irish Government’s new National Broadband Scheme (NBS). The NBS will provide broadband services to the areas of Ireland that are currently unserved and ensure that every reasonable request for broadband in these unserved areas is met. A single national tender will be used for the National Broadband Scheme. A detailed mapping exercise has indicated that the potential number of households in the unserved areas favours a national tender over a number of smaller regional tenders. The final product that consumers will receive from the NBS will be an always on service of at least 1Mbit/s down and 128kbits/s up.

Patrick was on a diet of fruit and vegetables, believing this would make him live long, very long. Ironically enough, his own discoveries about the "End of Times in 2012" shocked him so deeply that it put him on a worldwide quest.

Patrick Geryl is the author of 9 books, written in Dutch of which one was published in Germany, called "Topfit mit Sonnenkost". All of them became bestsellers.

Since his childhood Patrick was also very interested in astronomy and up to now he studied hundreds of publications and books on this subject.

In his first published book on astronomy ("A new Space-Time Dimension", 1979), he launched an attack on the world famous relativity theory: he predicted several spectacular things that were connected to the universe. His predictions were confirmed in the last ten years, getting a lot of publicity in the Belgium press and television.

Through this astronomical knowledge, he discovered a trace leading to a high-developed civilization that was destroyed by a polar reversal. The descendants of this civilization, the Maya and Old Egyptians, predict a similar disaster for the year 2012. Noticing the urgency of this warning, Patrick started an intensive research and wrote three books on this subject.

The first book, "The Orion Prophecy", was published in 1998 in Belgium and Holland. It was translated and published at the end of 2001 in the USA. After this, translations followed in Polish (Edit. It also became a bestseller in Poland. "How to survive 2012" was published at the end of 2006.

After these publications, Patrick will mainly spend his time on forming a survival group.
